Women Bump, Men Crash

When it comes to road traffic accidents, the common thought is that men are the better drivers, although it’s worth noting that it’s predominantly men that state this fact; however a recent study has drawn some interesting conclusions. Some of the findings of this study suggest women drivers are more likely to have scrapes and bumps while men are more prone to head-on collisions, a survey has found.

UK Drivers Set To Face Lower Drink Drive Limit

The UK Government is looking to fall in line with the rest of the EU by reducing the legal blood alcohol limit for drivers. The current limit is 80mg per 100ml of blood which would allow the consumption of roughly a pint and a half of medium strength lager for an average sized man. The proposed limit would bring it down to 50mg per 100ml of blood is less than an average pint or a large glass of wine but would match the legal limit in the European Union.

111th Driving Offence Lands Driver In Jail

A sentence of five months in jail has been handed to Britain’s most convicted driver, Thomas Feely, after collecting over 110 driving offences. He was pulled over by police in Leeds where he was found to be driving a van with no licence, no insurance and whilst currently disqualified and just three days before he was due to be sentenced for an earlier similar offence.
